He enlisted 31 January 1916 at Brisbane and he was living at Strathpine and working as a farmer. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A62 Wandilla on 6 June 1916. When Percy returned from the war he worked as a butcher at Strathpine but then moved to Greenmount in the Darling Downs in the 1920s. He married Maud Alice Jentz in 1922. He died aged 81.Death date12 July 1967
