TitleView of a Slash Pine plantationDescriptionPine trees require 20-30 years growth before they were suitable for use in pulp production. The main species of pine grown by APM in southeast Queensland was Slash Pine (Pinus elliottii). By 1984, 25,000 hectares were under trees. Over the years plantations have been sold and many are now under housing. These include estates such as Petrie on Pine, North Lakes and Narangba Valley.PhotographerAustralian Paper ManufacturersCollectorAustralian Paper ManufacturersRecord typePhotographFormat typeDigitalOriginal format colourBlack and white
