Fish traps - Bribie Island Stories

Join storyteller Lyndon Davis at the Sandstone Point fish traps as he explains the hunting technique of using tides to trap and catch mullet, tailor and bream. A number of people would create the trap using the small rocks and boulders available in the landscape at low tide. The fish were attracted by use of crushed shellfish thrown in the water as the tide rose and caught by hands, spears and nets when the water receded.
