TitleJanuary 2011 Flood Event - Floodwaters in the North Pine River have receded substantiallyDescriptionOn 11 January 2011 a major flood event occurred in the North Pine River. This flood event was the combination of above-average levels of rainfall over an extended period prior to 6 January 2011 and peaked on 11 January 2011, thus impacting on the North Pine Dam and the surrounding catchment areas. The North Pine Dam operators had to open five floodgates on 11 January 2011. This photograph was taken just after 11 January 2011 looking west on the edge of the river bank of the North Pine River in Leis Park Lawnton. On the other side of the river is Sweeney Reserve Petrie.
