TitleAerial view of Caboolture township in 1979DescriptionPhotograph taken looking southeast. The main road in the photograph is King Street. The Caboolture Cemetery is located in the centre just to the right of the photograph. Next door to the Cemetery is the Caboolture Water Treatment Plant along the banks of the Caboolture River. To the top and in the centre of the photograph is the Caboolture Sports Centre and Centenary Lakes area. The established estate in the top left hand corner of the photograph was known as Waytown (A little trivia - The original Waytown applied to the area on the eastern side of Morayfield Road in Jacaranda Avenue and Poinciana Street and grew to incorporate the western side as well. The name comes from the only service station in Caboolture and was known as the Milky Way Servo and had the best milkshakes in town. This was the only place to buy anything after the shops closed) in 1979 and it is now (1997) known as Caboolture South.Date1979Record typeAerial photographFormat typePhysicalOriginal format colourBlack and white
