Albert (Wally) and Myrtle Lehman arrived at Beachmere in 1934. They had one of the first general grocery stores in the area, but in the 1940s and 1950s Albert (Wally) and Myrtle Lehman had a farm near the present (2017) bridge over King John Creek on Beachmere Road.
