TitleBusy Fingers building on Bribie IslandDescriptionThe building was originally known as the Hendon Recreation Hall [on the corner of Cotterill Avenue and Bestmann Avenue]. It opened on 29 June 1962 and provided for dancing, roller skating and indoor bowls. It was later bought by Ben Tesch and operated as a cinema until about 1974 when it closed. This building was then taken over by Busy Fingers until recent years when it became a [Baptist] church. Note the old projection room on the back of the building from a time when it was a cinema.
