TitleBeaconsfield StreetDescriptionLooking east down Beaconsfield Street Margate. This street took its name from an area of agricultural land which was subdivided during the land boom of the 1880s and named the Beaconsfield Estate. Beaconsfield Street was originally Portion 186 of this development. Margate Parade now runs across the bottom end of this street close to the waterfront. Beaconsfield Street is also intersected by Webb Street and Disraeli Street. The Florence Kindergarten is now (1984) situated on the right-hand side of Beaconsfield Street and on the left is the Uniting Church Conference Centre and further down the Lichtenvoorde Units.Date1910PhotographerMewes, GeorgeRecord typePhotographFormat typePhysicalOriginal format colourBlack and whiteOriginal format dimensions25cm x 17cmLocation of originalsDuplicate of John Oxley Library - No. 37551
