George Griffin papers, 1840, 1847-1851
DESCRIPTION
Description
The fist volume includes a log of the ship 'Medway', kept by Captain Griffin during a voyage from Sydney to London, 1840. This volume also includes a diary kept by Captain Griffin between 1 January 1847 - 16 May 1849, while living at Whiteside Station. The second volume is a diary entitled 'Remarks and Transactions at the Whiteside Station commencing first of January 1851' and concluding at 25 December 1851. Placed within this volume are 21 loose leaves consisting of a diary of 'Remarks and Transactions at Whiteside' for 2 June 1849 - 31 December 1849.
