Melrose Park, Ferny Hills (Qld.)

Mr Cosby Melrose had owned and lived on the land since 1939 and when it was subdivided, the 'pond' which had served the champion cattle which he bred, was the site of the dedicated park area. Named Melrose Park to honour the landowner at the time of the subdivision. Crosby Melrose is a Grandson of Frederick Patrick whose land boundary Patricks Road adjoins the Portion 11, 122 acres originally held by Melrose before the first subdivision
