Beyond the bridge [dvd] : Hornibrook 2, the demolition
DETAILS
TitleBeyond the bridge [dvd] : Hornibrook 2, the demolitionAlternative titleBeyond the bridge [dvd] : Hornibrook 2, including the demolitionDescriptionThis DVD is a tribute to the many ordinary Australian men and women who built the world's longest viaduct bridge in extraordinarily hard times - the Depression of 1932. The wooden bridge, connecting Redcliffe and Brisbane, has now been demolished, but its story will remain in peoples' hearts forever. After it was demolished, a 100 metre section was reconstructed on the north side of the bay, using the bridge's original timber. It includes a fishing platform as a highlight to this popular recreation area. ImprintMt.
