Accessing Collection items
Accessing the Local History Collection
Council is undertaking construction works at the Redcliffe Library. Regular programs and services will continue. The Local History Room and meeting rooms may be unavailable. Works are scheduled to start in late August 2023 and are expected to be completed in 16 weeks. Construction will be between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM weekdays.
Moreton Bay Region Libraries Local History Collection is held in three dedicated Local History rooms, at Redcliffe, Strathpine and Caboolture library branches. These rooms are open during normal library operating hours.
Services available include:
- Microfilm and microfiche readers
- Computer access to history and genealogy databases
- Local history and genealogy books, vertical files and research materials.
- Assistance with local and family history enquiries
- Preservation Stations
Staff assistance or appointments may be required to access some items. Please contact us to enquire about accessing a particular item or collection.
