Alexander Ward was the son of James Gall and Caroline Ward, who resided in Burpengary, Queensland. He was single, a labourer and was living with his parents at the time of his enlistment in May 1916. On his return Alexander lived with his parents who had moved to Hawthorne, Queensland. He married Rebecca Irons in 1923 and they remained in the Hawthorne area until his death. Alexander's older brother Frederick [5405] died from his wounds while serving in France.Birth date19 August 1895Death date25 May 1968
