Buried: 6 March 1968, Hemmant Cemetery, Brisbane, Queensland Alfred was the son of Alfred Bevis and Mary Jane Giddings who resided at Villeneuve, Queensland. The family had immigrated to Australia on board the Rippingham Grange arriving in Brisbane, Queensland, on 14 March 1912 but Alfred arrived earlier in Brisbane on board Orsova on 31 October 1910. He was single, working as a labourer and living at Villeneuve, Queensland when he enlisted with his brother, Harry [49] in December 1915. Two other brothers, Richard [153] and William [149], had enlisted previously. Alfred married Margaret Emily Jeffrey Hogarth on 6 September 1922 and they took up residence in Yarraman, Queensland for a time.Death date04 March 1968
