Buried: 11 January 1937, Toowong Cemetery, Brisbane, Queensland Alfred Ernest James Jull was the son of Alfred Jull and Amelia Eve and he had immigrated to Australia arriving in Brisbane on 5 May 1887 aged 19 years. He married Mary Bateman in 1890 and they had eight children when he enlisted on 4 April 1917 declaring his age as 44 years 9 months. Two of his sons had enlisted the previous year, Alfred [1919] who died of his wounds in 1917 and George [4324]. Alfred was farming in Woodford, Queensland, at the time he enlisted. He returned to Australia and was discharged in February 1918 because of senility and flat feet. Alfred served on the Caboolture Shire Council after the war.Death date10 January 1937
