Buried: Mt Thompson Memorial Gardens, Holland Park, Queensland Allen Victor Ronalds was the son of Henry William Ronalds and Rebecca Heather of Hove, Sussex, England. He immigrated to Australia on board Omrah arriving in Sydney, New South Wales, in September 1913. Allen was single, working as a labourer and living in Caboolture, Queensland at the time of his enlistment in August 1915. His unit embarked from Brisbane, Queensland, on board HMAT Itonus and he returned to Australia injured in September 1918. He nominated an aunt, Emily Heather of Hove, Sussex, England as next of kin as his mother had died in 1899. Allen returned to Caboolture after the war but moved to Toowong, Queensland where his brother, Benjamin Charles, was living. He married Janet Daly in 1938 and they settled in Taringa, Queensland.Death date26 July 1966
