Andrew Gordon, son of Scottish settlers Andrew Gordon and Jessie Maria Hay of North Pine. The family owned a large property called Auchenpine on the banks of the North Pine River, near what is now known as Young's Crossing. He was educated at North Pine State School. He enlisted in September 1915 at Brisbane. Gordon was wounded 5th August 1916, and returned home in 1917. He married Elizabeth Fergusson in 1923. Gordon died aged 56. His younger brother Crichton Ivie [5343] also enlisted, he died in action.Birth date24 June 1882Death date14 September 1938
