Norman Archer Benjamin was the son of Benjamin William Crabb and Martha Alice Maud Teasdale. His father had died in 1904 and his mother then married Silas John Hancock. Archer was 28 years, working as a labourer and living in D'Aguilar, Queensland when he enlisted in February 1916. He was returned to Australia in July 1916 and was discharged as medically unfit. The 1919 Electoral Roll has Archer living at Mt Mee, Queensland but from 1930 on he is living in the Wentworth area of New South Wales and does not appear to have married.Birth date20 November 1887Death date30 May 1957
