Born Archibald John Francis, he was the son of Thomas Henry Duffy and Sarah Elizabeth Archibald of Ormiston, Queensland. Archibald was single, working as a sawyer and living in D'Aguilar, Queensland, when he enlisted in July 1915. He was killed in action in September and was originally buried near Polygon Wood but later re-interred in Tyne Cot Cemetery. He was 28 years of age.Birth date18 July 1898Death date03 October 1916
