He was single, a station manager at Clonmore Station, Eidsvold, when he enlisted in September 1915. He had been a student at Caboolture State School, Queensland. Archibald was killed in action. His two brothers, Ernest John [431B] and Ronald James [3283] were also killed while serving overseas.
