Arthur Nelson, aged 37 when he enlisted, Arthur was living at Strathpine when he enlisted on 29 August 1914. He listed his wife Gladys Nelson as his next of kin living at Strathpine. He was invalided out of the army and returned home to Australia. He re-enlists on 9th June 1916 at the Sydney Showgrounds and is posted to Dubbo. Arthur boarded the A68 HMAT Anchises which left Australia on 24 January 1917.
