Charles's parents were John Robert Hall and Janet Mack. Charles was married to Josephine Mary Frost in 1914 and they had one son. He was living at Manly near Brisbane and his occupation was Sales Manager to the Town and Country Amalgamated Motor Company when he enlisted 22 August 1917 at Brisbane.
