Robert Kenman selected land in the Laceys Creek area in 1879, his wife Jane was the post-mistress for Laceys Creek. Charles was the youngest of eight children. He enlisted 26 June 1915 at Brisbane. At Pozierers Charles was reported missing and then killed in action 23 July 1916.
