He was single, living in Darlinghurst, New South Wales, and working as a bank clerk when he enlisted in 1914. Colin was killed in action by shell fire at Owen's Gully near Lone Pine, Gallipoli while acting as an observer for a machine gun. Three other siblings, Allan Joseph [W1999], Francis Henry [376] and Leonard Charles [1621] were to serve overseas.Birth date23 July 1889Death date09 August 1915
