Dorothy's parents were Edgar Brodie Greenup and Emily Hollingworth. At the time of the First World War, Edgar was chairman of the Redcliffe Shire Council and wife Emily and daughter Dorothy were very active in local affairs. Dorothy enlisted at age 20 and was initially assumed to be a nurse. She was assigned duties as a ward assistant on the hospital ship Kanowa and after their arrival in Egypt Dorothy was repatriated to Australia. She married Rupert Neville Wyndham in 1935. Dorothy's nephew was William Highfield [57676].Birth date07 March 1895Death date25 July 1973
