Edward Henry Page was the son of Frank Thadeous Page and Ruth Johnston who lived at Burpengary. Harry, as he was known, first enlisted in Charters Towers in July 1917 but was withdrawn by his parents owing to him being only 16 years of age. He then ran away to Sydney and re-enlisted on 4 October 1917 nominating his sister, Mrs Blanche Stamp of Ipswich as next of kin. Harry's unit embarked from Sydney on board HMAT Ulysses on 19 December 1917. He was only 17 years and eight months old when he was killed in action in France.Birth date18 December 1900Death date11 September 1918
