Ernest was the eldest son of John William Taylor and Alice Maud Greenbury who resided at Upper Caboolture, Queensland. He was 24 years old and working as a farm labourer when he enlisted on 27 November 1915. Ernest died of meningitis and measles contracted at Enoggera in February 1916. Two of his younger brothers, Hubert Lancelot Taylor [955] and Leslie Arthur [2168] also enlisted.Birth date10 March 1891Death date09 February 1916
