Frank's parents were John Bolton and Sarah Smith. Frank attended both the Humpybong State School and the North Pine State School. He was living at Toowong and working as a carpenter when he enlisted on 19 February 1916 at Brisbane. Frank was declared missing in action on 4 April 1917. It was confirmed on 14 May 1917 that he was taken prisoner of war and interned at Gefangenenlager Germany. He returned to Australia in 1919 and is listed on the electoral rolls at Manley, Queensland. Frank married Annie Isabel Purnell in December 1923 and he and Annie lived in Brisbane where Frank continued work as a carpenter. Frank died aged 73.Birth date11 March 1892Death date07 May 1965
