Date of Death: 9 August 1960, Queensland Buried: Not Known George Albert was the son of William Frederick Holt and Sarah Flood. His mother had died in January 1898 and his father had married Alice Ann Woods Lomas later in the same year. They were living in Burpengary, Queensland when George enlisted in September 1915. George was single, living at Burpengary and his occupation was listed as a Railway navy. While in France, George was wounded in action and invalided to the United Kingdom in September 1918. During his time overseas he met and married Margaret Watson of Macclesfield, Cheshire in January 1919. He returned to Australian with his wife in July 1919 and they lived at various times in Elimbah and Morayfield. Two brothers, Herbert Cecil [798A] and Leslie [1649], were also to enlist.Birth date14 January 1893Death date09 August 1960
