George Ernest Jacques was the son of George Gilbert Jacques and Catherine McWilliams of Albion, Queensland. He was single, working as a machinist and living at Albion, Queensland, when he enlisted in March 1916. George had been wounded twice which resulted in him returning to Australia in April, 1918. He lived in Brisbane, Queensland, until his death. Just prior to the war, his parents lived on Bribie Island, Queensland where his father was working as a caretaker.Birth date26 July 1890Death date07 July 1962
