George James was the son of Samuel George Lee and Beatrice Barry. He married Evangeline Mabel Taylor in May 1911 and they had two children. He was working as a labourer and living in Paddington, Queensland, when he enlisted in July 1915. After the war the family lived in Caboolture, Queensland where George worked as a sawmill hand.Death date07 October 1965
