George was second son of Alfred Ernest James Jull and Mary Bateman, who lived at Woodford. He was 19 years old, working as a butcher and living in Woodford, Queensland, when he enlisted in October 1916. George's father Arthur [3316] also enlisted as well as an older brother, Alfred [1919] who died in 1917. After returning from active service, George sailed for New Zealand on 4 March 1920 as a Saloon passenger aboard the Riverina. On 6 February 1929 he married Mary Elizabeth Pollock (nee Boon). He lived in Christchurch and worked as a labourer until his death in 1960.Birth date13 March 1897
