Hector was the second son of Alfred Nonmus and Sarah Catherine Brierly who lived at Woodford, Queensland. He was single, farming and living in Woodford, Queensland, at the time of his enlistment in September 1914. Hector was one of many who took part in the march through London, England on Anzac Day in 1916. After the war he returned to Woodford and married Alice May Miller in July 1923. Hector died in Kilcoy Hospital from injuries received in a level crossing smash at Woodford. Two younger brothers, Alfred Edward [1295] and Gilbert Brierly [2856], also enlisted.Birth date15 August 1878Death date13 April 1933
