James was single and a Sawyer at time of enlistment. His parents were Thomas Lees and Catherine Burns. His sister, Jane Burns, lived at The Harbour Redcliffe. His brother, John [3432] also living at Redcliffe, also enlisted. James married Elizabeth Crossan in 1924 and they lived in Brisbane. He worked in sawmills after the war and then obtained a position as caretaker at the Brisbane Taxation Buildings.Birth date03 September 1894Death date05 January 1948
