Joseph's parents were Charles Raymont and Emily Forster. He immigrated to Australia on the Orsova, 31 October 1910. He enlisted 10 October 1914 at Brisbane. Joseph was wounded in action and returned to Australia 1919 and disembarked in Melbourne. By 1925 he had established himself as a labourer at Samsonvale, 1936 to 1963 his occupation was listed as a farmer in Samsonvale and Bunya, he eventually moved to Newmarket in 1968 where he died the following year on 14 July 1969, aged 80.Death date10 July 1969
