Buried: South Brisbane Dutton Park Cemetery Michael's parents were Patrick Hogan and Anne Brogan. Michael married Mary Cummins in 1910 at Brisbane, they had three children. He enlisted 28 December 1915 at Brisbane. After the war Michael selected Portion 120, Parish of Samsonvale at the Soldier Settlement of Highlands. In 1924 Michael selection Portion 119 and by 1926 he had erected a sawn timber dwelling with two rooms and a kitchen. His crops principally were peas and beans, bananas were unsuitable for growing as the land was too steep. By 1955 Hogan has now Freeholded Portions, 165,166, 120, 174, and 164. 6 acres of Portion 20 were cultivated and growing pineapples, mixed farming and dairy cattle.Death date26 September 1962
