His unit embarked Brisbane on board HMAT Commonwealth on 28 March 1916, his brother Clifford was on the same ship. When he returned after the war he settled in Kallangur, working as a labourer. He married Frances Ruth Brewer in 1932 at Brisbane. Two of Oscar's brothers enlisted, Clifford Ernest [4248] and Clarence Leslie [7051], all three brothers returned home.Birth date27 June 1895Death date27 June 1975
