He was single and working as a labourer when he enlisted in May 1915. After the war Richard married Ethel Chaddock (nee Critchlow), widow of Robert Gordon Chaddock [2773] in 1921. By the early 1940's the couple was living in Hendra, Brisbane, Queensland. Ethel died in 1946 and Richard married Annie Elizabeth Reich (nee Nielsen).Birth date28 March 1891Death date14 December 1970
