Ronald James was the fourth son of James and Isabel Duncan. He was single, farming and living with his family at Dunmore, Queensland via Kilcoy, Queensland, at the time of his enlistment in April 1917. Ronald was killed in action instantly in battle from a bullet to the forehead near a local railway line. Both of his brothers, Archibald Stewart [2166A] and Ernest John [431B] died from their wounds. Ronald's parents lived in the Woodford, Queensland area for a number of years before moving to Cronulla, Gayndah.Birth date29 June 1896Death date05 April 1918
