Rupert was single, living with his parents and working as a stockman when he enlisted in February 1916. He was killed in action during the Battle of Menin Road Ridge by a shrapnel pellet in the chest and was buried in the field. His parents moved to Wamuran, Queensland in the early 1920's and are buried at Caboolture (King Street) cemetery.Birth date19 November 1894Death date20 September 1917
