Stanley attended North Pine State School. Stanley was the youngest of seven children, and enlisted on 30 December 1914 at Brisbane. His older brother Percy Montrose [534] enlisted in 1915. He became part of the M.E.F. (Mediterranean Expeditionary Force) for the Gallipoli campaign. Stanley was killed in action. He died aged 25.Birth date12 April 1890Death date19 May 1915
