Sven was the second son of Sven Christianson and Anna Marie Magdalena Mehrens. His parents were dead when Sven and his three brothers, Carl [6056], Hans [Discharged] and Christian (Christy) Carl [3058] enlisted in 1916. He was single, working as a timber getter and living in Caboolture, Queensland, when he enlisted. After the war Sven returned to live in Caboolture until the late 1920's. His brother Carl was killed. Christy returned home and was placed in a Mental Hospital in Sydney due to being gassed and died in 1959. Hans was living in Youngaburra when he enlisted and was discharged as medically unfit in December 1916. He died in August 1917.Birth date16 March 1892
