Thomas Andrew was the son of James Frederick Martin and Esther Fowler who resided at Woodford, Queensland. He was single, working as a farmer and living at Woodford at the time of his enlistment. Sergeant Martin was killed in action and was originally buried in an isolated grave just north of Peronne but later re-interred in the Sailly-Saillisel Cemetery. Two other brothers, Frederick John (Martine) [1552] and Ernest Henry [3447] also enlisted.Birth date06 December 1891Death date01 September 1918
