A report in the Courier Mail of 22 February 1916 listed names of men provided by the recruiting sergeant as having volunteered from the Caboolture area. Thomas is mentioned in this report, his occupation was a labourer. Thomas enlisted 23 December 2015 at Enoggera. He embarked from Sydney on board HMAT A36, Boonah on 22 January 1916. Thomas was listed as wounded in action and missing but after a court of enquiry it was found Thomas was killed while being carried to the Dressing Station on 2 November 1917.Birth date28 December 1896Death date02 November 1917
