Thomas's parents were, William Brundrit and Catherine Edith McIvor. William was the local Terrors Creek School Master. Catherine had previously been married to Hugh Hamilton. Thomas was living in Gympie when he enlisted on 22 September 1914 his occupation was a Crown Land Ranger. He joined the 5th Light Horse Regiment and embarked on 21 December 1914. He landed on the Gallipoli Peninsula at Anzac Cove on 20 May 1915. On 8 November 1915, Thomas Joseph Brundrit was killed in action on the Gallipoli Peninsula. Thomas was mentioned in despatches for distinguished and gallant services rendered during the period of Sir Charles Monro's Command.Birth date15 October 1882Death date08 November 1915
