Vivian's parents were George Herbert Houghton and Catherine Trudgeon Rowe. The Houghton family was a well-known family of the district. Vivian was working as a clerk when he enlisted on 2 April 1917 at Brisbane. Vivian returned to Australia 1919, he married Leila Clarice Browne at Brisbane in 1921. His cousins Albert [1924] and William [3445] enlisted as well, Albert was killed and William returned home.Birth date06 September 1896Death date18 June 1965
