Walter Thomas Dyer Seccombe was the son of Thomas Seccombe and Caroline Hancox who lived at Bellthorpe, Woodford, Queensland. He was 29 years old, working as a farrier and living at Bellthorpe when he enlisted on 18 September 1914. Walter's unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT Ceramic on 22 December 1914. Lance Corporal Seccombe was killed in action and has no known grave.Death date10 May 1915
