Wilfred Burnet Lucas was the son of George Lucas and Rebecca Bryne Irvine who lived at Kingaroy Road, Crawford, Queensland. He was single, working as a casemaker and living at Woodford, Queensland, when he enlisted in January 1916. On his return he married Eva Florence Hancox in September 1920 in Brisbane and moved to Sydney.
