William's parents were William Eeles and Sarah Symonds. He married Alice Gertrude Chaddock in 1908. William and Alice were living in Wharf Street, Caboolture, Queensland, when he enlisted in January 1916. On his return from the war they moved to Kilcoy where William worked as a dairyman. His younger brother, Walter [4496], who also enlisted, died from Pneumonia in England in 1919.Birth date06 February 1889Death date07 August 1946
