His mother died in 1903 and his father then married Bridget Hogan in 1905 and they lived in Caboolture, Queensland. William's father was the licensed victualler of both the Royal Hotel and the Club Hotel in Caboolture prior to the war. William was single, working as a labourer and living in Brisbane when he enlisted in June 1915. Two of his brothers, Bernard Patrick [2195] and Henry Patrick [4095] also enlisted.Birth date30 March 1896Death date21 April 1921
